Till Death Do Us Part | An Inspired Editorial | Jacksonville Wedding Photographer

I am so excited to finally share these images...

Let me just say that I have so many inspired and off the wall editorial or styled shoot ideas but rarely make the time to actually do them. I made the time for this one and I am so happy I did.

I wanted it to be minimal in the sense of a perfect and small team...no props except the bouquet which I made myself. Simple but striking. Why? Because the location spoke for itself and we didn't need to bring in a lot.

This shoot was a much needed creative reset for me and I am going to make it a point to make time for my creative spirit -- and sometimes dark ideas more often ;)

SO much thanks to everyone involved. Not everyone in this world would be up to go shoot and model in an old abandoned funeral home. But these guys were more than ready and willing. We were all honestly way too excited over it. Elaina even offered to lay in one of the coffins....a true trooper (I didn't make her) and both Tim and Elaina were champs as they sat in an old hearse looking perfect while tons of mosquitos flew around them. No big deal.

You guys "killed it" ;)

West House Photography Office + Studio | Behind the Scenes | Jacksonville, FL Photographer

This blog is a long time coming considering we moved into our new home in August and it's now December but hey at least I posted it before 2014 ended right?

This morning was an exceptionally sunny morning in my office so I was like, okay... this is happening and finally took pictures of it.

When we bought our new home, I knew instantly that this room would be my office for the beautiful natural light that pours in every morning. My old office has a good amount of light but not like this room.

I knew I wanted to keep it simple and clean with grey and golds and just a few pops of color here and there. The gold chevron accent wall is probably my favorite and I'm really glad I decided to do it.

So, here it is! Four months later!
The long awaited... new WHP office + studio space!

And the laziest but cutest office manager in the world, Milo.
