Kelly + Darren | 10.10.16 | Atlantic Beach FL Engagement Session

I shot Kelly + Darren's engagement only three days after hurricane Mathew hit North Florida. Our original location had some bad damage and was closed so we had to come up with a plan B quickly. The beach popped to mind because I had been out there after the storm to see the damage and knowing that our beaches had been altered by having our dunes washed away along with some damage to walk ways, our pier and more. As sad as the damage was, it was beautiful to photograph a calm flattened beach with Kelly + Darren who are so funny and sweet. Kelly is so organized (a girl after my own heart) and such a sweetheart and I absolutely LOVED working with them so much.

 I can not wait for their wedding at The Winterbourne in February! 

Paige + Jason | Jacksonville Beach Engagement Photographer

I am so excited that we got to shoot parts of Paige + Jason's engagement session in the new home they bought and are currently renovating. It has a sweet little doc in the back overlooking the marsh and the inside is currently down to the studs. I immediately noticed the light streaming through the windows with all the exposed wood and just loved that we were shooting in their soon the be home but at it's bare bones. The second half of their session we shot in Ponte Vedra Beach as a storm literally was coming in on all sides of us. We finished before it could get us thankfully but it made for some awesome storm clouds and rain off in the distance. It's sweet and meaningful engagement sessions like these that make my heart sing while editing. 

I can't wait for these two to tie the knot next September at the gorgeous Epping Forest Yacht Club!
